Sorpasso de los pisos turísticos a los hoteles en 10 grandes ciudades españolas

📌 In 2024, tourist housing (VUT) in 10 major Spanish cities including Málaga, Valencia, and Sevilla surpassed hotel offerings, growing by an average of 17.5% in capacity compared to just 2.9% for hotels. Valencia saw the highest rise in VUT with a 30.2% increase to 32,961 spots, while hotel growth in the city was 7%. Tourist homes contributed to 51% of the total overnight stays in 2024, raising concerns about local infrastructure capacity and public space saturation. Despite regulatory efforts, Exceltur calls for stronger rules to control the VUT market.

Iberia reformula el puente aéreo con un nuevo sistema de tarifas

✈ Iberia updated its Puente Aéreo service between Madrid and Barcelona by introducing two new fares: "Puente Aéreo Flexible" for a fixed price of €219 per trip (roundtrip purchase) with benefits including free checked baggage, seat selection, priority boarding, free changes, and refunds, and "Puente Aéreo Confort," offering services like fast track access and seat selection, with prices ranging from €149 to €199. El Prat y Valencia superan su límite y se acercan al colapso

🛫 Barcelona-El Prat Airport surpassed its capacity in 2024, reaching 55 million passengers, 4 million in December alone, exceeding its current infrastructure limit.
