Descuento de residentes: el Gobierno pone fecha a la liquidación de la deuda
🛫 Fernando Clavijo, President of the Canary Islands, announced the central government's commitment to settling a €425 million debt with airlines for resident discounts by the end of the semester, with an additional forecasted expense of €1.25 billion in 2025, of which only €175 million is currently guaranteed. The regional government has advanced 25% of the maritime transport payment. This issue was highlighted by ALA President Javier Gándara, pointing out financial strains on airlines that threaten route connectivity within Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla.
