American Airlines ya tiene en su poder el primer Airbus A321XLR

✈ American Airlines receives their first Airbus A321XLR, registered N303NY, this week in Dallas/Fort Worth from Hamburg. The aircraft is part of a 50-unit order and was initially delivered in July but remained in the Czech Republic for cabin work. Configured with 20 business, 12 premium economy, and the rest in economy, it will begin operations in early 2026, covering U.S. transcontinental and later European routes. The A321XLR can fly 4,700 nautical miles (8,700 km).

Bruselas ultima un plan para regular los pisos turísticos

🏠 La Comisión Europea planea en diciembre una directiva para regular el turismo de alquiler en la UE, impactada por plataformas como Airbnb que elevan precios y desplazan residentes. Se propone un registro obligatorio de propiedades, ya vigente en España desde julio 2025, y que plataformas compartan datos con autoridades. El debate se llevará a cabo en el Consejo Europeo, liderado por António Costa. París y Berlín, escépticos, temen interferencias en políticas nacionales.

Los tripulantes de cabina, maltratados por el Gobierno con la jubilación

✈ Las tripulantes de cabina (TCP) denuncian desigualdades laborales en jubilación anticipada. Verónica Frade, TCP de 35 años, destaca la injusticia comparada con pilotos y sanitarios tras la nueva ley de seguridad aérea en 2025. Impulsada por Junts y apoyada por el Gobierno, la ley favorece al personal sanitario aéreo. Sindicatos como CCOO y UGT protestan, destacando riesgos laborales similares para TCP. La Asociación Española de TCP exige igualdad en jubilación. Varias sentencias han reconocido su derecho.

Canarias pide ser un hub de conexión intercontinental como Barajas y El Prat

✈️ Coalición Canaria urges the Spanish Government to apply the "Fifth Freedom of the Air" in Canary Islands airports, which would allow airlines from third countries to make stopovers to pick up or drop off passengers and cargo. On July 31, Deputy Cristina Valido questioned why this is applied in Madrid and Barcelona but not in strategically located Canary Islands. Only Air China and Emirates operate routes under this freedom, with no current applications for Canary stopovers.

Iberia responde a Air Europa-Turkish con una alianza con Pegasus

✈️ Iberia and Pegasus Airlines enter a code-sharing agreement, enhancing routes between Spain and Turkey. Starting from October 2025, Iberia will offer flights from Madrid to Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen Airport and seven Turkish domestic destinations. Etihad desguaza un A380 con cinco años de servicio

🛩 Etihad Airways, October 2023, confirmed the scrapping of Airbus A380 (registration A6-APA) delivered in December 2014 but grounded post-March 2020 due to the pandemic. The aircraft, just 11 years old and active for about five, was dismantled for parts. Etihad retired its A380 fleet in 2020, citing cost inefficiency, but plans to reactivate two more by January 2027, aligning with increased demand. Etihad will then have nine operational A380s.

Meliá y Grupo Puntacana arrancan la construcción del nuevo hotel en Dominicana
