🏨 In July, hotel stays in Spain increased by 2.2% over the same month in 2023. The Hotel Price Index rose by 7.2% annually, while average billing reached €140.5 per occupied room, an 8% increase from the previous year. The RevPAR (average daily income per available room) hit €106.8, marking a 10.1% rise. Marbella recorded the highest RevPAR at €240. The top three Autonomous Communities in terms of RevPAR were Baleares (€164.28), País Vasco (€116.45), and Cataluña (€113.72).

La tripulación de cabina de SAS se declara en huelga parando varios vuelos

✈ Tripulación de cabina de SAS en Noruega inició huelga este viernes tras fracasar negociaciones salariales. Al principio, 120 empleados se unieron, con posibles 800 adicionales la próxima semana que podrían provocar cancelaciones masivas de vuelos. SAS limitó la afectación el viernes y sigue en proceso de reestructuración. Unos 770 empleados podrían estar en huelga el 30 de agosto, si no hay solución. Detalles de demandas sindicales son confidenciales, pero salarios son hasta 30% inferiores a los de Norwegian. En 2022, una huelga de pilotos de SAS canceló 3.700 vuelos. SAS está en protección por bancarrota en EE. UU. desde una huelga anterior.

Precios de hoteles en julio: menor subida del año pero más que la inflación

💸 En julio, los precios hoteleros en España subieron un 7.2%, con una tarifa media diaria (ADR) de 140,5 euros, superando los 103 euros de 2019 y los 128,8 euros del año anterior. Desde junio de 2021, las tarifas han aumentado ininterrumpidamente, alcanzando en Madrid un crecimiento del 13,4%, en Baleares del 9,3%, y en Andalucía y Castilla-La Mancha del 7,3%. Los ingresos por habitación disponible (RevPAR) han llegado a 106,5 euros, un 10,1% más que el año pasado, con un aumento más moderado en hoteles de 5 estrellas del 7,7%.

Hyatt abrirá el primer 5 estrellas de marca internacional en Almería

The Macenas Mediterranean Resort will offer various services, including the Macenas Social Club with a restaurant, infinity pool, and a wellness area, and it will address both vacation and business tourism needs.

Japón se encamina a un nuevo récord en la llegada de visitantes
